Sigue Sigue Sputnik, named after a Russian street gang, formed in 1985 watching Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange and Pink Flamingos. The original Cyber Punk Electronic Dub Rock and Roll band. Answering the question “What would Elvis sound like in the year 2050?” the Starship Sputnik launched their two drummer assault looking like the bastard sons of Ziggy meets Mad Max. Nobody sounds like Sputnik - We invented the Future!
